3 types of premium magnesium
Plus boron for absorption
For a natural energy boost*

Non-GMO
Free of common allergens
Smidge® Morning Magnesium is a balanced formula that includes three naturally-derived forms of the essential mineral magnesium — with no fillers, synthetic additives or preservatives.
It helps enrich your body with the magnesium it needs, while providing that boost of energy you crave from coffee. But without the jitters!
What makes our morning blend supplement unique?
Sometimes, taking too much of one kind of magnesium causes digestive side effects. So we combined three high-quality, gentle types of magnesium — malate, orotate and taurinate — in equal amounts and small batches. Importantly, we left out magnesium citrate, which is in many commercial magnesium supplements and can irritate sensitive systems.
Then, we added a smidge of the mineral boron, which helps your body absorb all that magnesium goodness — and supports strong bones.*
Of course, our pure magnesium formula is free of common allergens.
Morning Magnesium can be great for folks who want to:
Wake up with more energy*
Support cardiovascular health, circulation and mood*
Have regularity and smooth digestion*
Soothe muscles*
Ease mild stress and anxiety*
Ease mild headaches* (more below)
Each serving gives you 200 mg of magnesium and 1.5 mg of boron.
120 capsules (1-month supply)
What does Morning Magnesium do?
You may be surprised to learn that every little cell in your body contains magnesium and needs it to function. Yet studies suggest that about 48% of the U.S. population gets less than the recommended daily amount of this critical mineral.
So we formulated Smidge® Morning Magnesium to provide you with a refreshing, gentle, mag-infused energy boost, all while going easy on digestion.
Our morning blend supplement works in the body by:
Facilitating the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a busy molecule that provides energy*
Supporting brain function and mood*
Supporting cardiovascular health and circulation*
Contributing to the proper function of muscles and nerves (relaxing them, too)*
Helping to maintain optimal digestion*
And, many of our customers who live with mild headaches turn to Morning Magnesium (check out our product reviews!).*
Don’t forget the boron in this morning supplement, which supports bone growth and maintenance and helps absorb all of that beautiful magnesium.*
Here’s more background on magnesium’s crucial role:
Depending on which studies you read, magnesium is responsible for between 300 to 800 enzyme-driven processes in the body. Many of these are nervous system-related enzymes. This reflects magnesium’s important part in physiological and pathological function.* And, magnesium is critical for the absorption of vitamin D, which helps regulate calcium to influence bone growth and maintenance.
Further, Morley Robbins, founder of the magnesium-driven Root Cause Protocol, made a shocking discovery in researching hundreds of scientific studies: Magnesium deficiency, or insufficiency, was at the center of… common modern health issues due to its central role in activating 3,751 proteins, and thus thousands of enzyme systems.*
To really soak in all of the magnesium your body needs, we recommend using this morning supplement in combo with our bedtime magnesium supplement, Evening Magnesium.
Dosage:
Adults: Always start with a smidge! Begin with one capsule daily with food. Then take four capsules together, or as directed by a qualified medical practitioner. (See “low and slow” note below.)
Children: Morning Magnesium is not recommended for children under 5 years of age, as it may cause excitability. For children 5 and older, take one capsule and work up to two capsules.
How to take: Morning Magnesium should be taken with food in general, with breakfast or lunch. Avoid taking in the late afternoon or evening, as it may disrupt sleep. For best results, take Smidge® Evening Magnesium later in the day, to help you wind down for a more restful sleep — and to soak up a total of five different types of premium magnesium between the two products. If you’re taking only part of the capsule, you can mix the contents with yogurt or a smoothie.
Start low and slow: Smidge® supplements are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dosage feels right for you.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry area, away from direct light.
Why a magnesium supplement?
Because your body likely needs more, as magnesium is not manufactured in the body and therefore the retention is extremely low. Studies suggest that about 48% of the U.S. population get less than the recommended daily amount of magnesium. Also, low magnesium intake is linked to chronic inflammation, one of the drivers of premature aging, being overweight and ongoing health conditions.* Nuts, leafy greens, beans, seeds, avocado (and, yes, unprocessed dark chocolate!) are all high in this mineral. But even when we eat these magnesium-rich foods, because of a depletion of soil minerals, they still can provide us with less than we need. So supplementation has become key to restoring magnesium levels.
Why are healthy magnesium levels difficult to retain?
Magnesium is not manufactured in the body, but we need it for virtually every system in the body to work smoothly. So many opt to get it from food or clean supplements. Each person burns magnesium at different rates. Factors that contribute to low magnesium retention include: age (the older you are, the less you retain), stress, exposure to aluminum and the body excreting magnesium through urine and sweat glands.
Should I take Morning Magnesium with or without food?
Generally speaking, it’s best to take Morning Magnesium with food. You may want to avoid taking it at the same time as other mineral supplements, as they may compete for absorption.
Can I take Smidge® Morning Magnesium and Evening Magnesium together?
Definitely! Morning Magnesium and Evening Magnesium are designed to work together, so they complement each other beautifully. That’s why many of our customers take one upon waking and one before their sweet dreams. This way, you can enjoy five different types of magnesium that work in synergy to supply your body throughout your precious 24-hour cycles — the optimal way to manage your magnesium levels and experience the full benefits.
Where is this magnesium sourced and created?
Smidge® Morning Magnesium is sourced and produced in the U.S.!
Why take a magnesium blend supplement rather than one form of magnesium?
Once you start looking into magnesium supplementation, you'll discover there are nearly a dozen different forms. An ion, magnesium binds with a variety of other minerals and molecules to create salts or chelates. Many people take only one kind of magnesium. But when they try to take larger amounts, it can cause digestive discomfort, like loose bowels.
That's why we created Morning Magnesium. Our customers had been asking for a magnesium supplement that gave them different forms of magnesium, and that didn't come with any downsides. Each form of magnesium in this blend has distinct benefits. And when used in combination with Smidge® Evening Magnesium, you get five types of premium magnesium to fuel your body throughout your day.
How does magnesium malate work in its role of soothing muscles?
It's pretty well known that magnesium helps with routine muscle cramps.* Epsom salts, rich in magnesium, are a tried-and-true solution for aching limbs.
But what's lesser known is how malic acid can help with generally sore muscles. Here's why:
Like magnesium, malic acid helps the body produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP) – both when there's oxygen around and when there isn't.
But malic acid levels also seem to trigger when the body switches over to anaerobic (without oxygen) energy production. When malic acid levels are low, the body switches over to anaerobic energy production much sooner. And during the anaerobic phase, the body tends to experience cramping and soreness.
So simply by getting more magnesium and malic acid, you can help your muscles relax and stay energized instead of crampy and tired.
