BUTYRATE FERMENT PLUS SACHET 1LTR
BUTYRATE FERMENT PLUS SACHET 1LTR
Butyrate Ferment Plus
BF+ is a proprietary blend of carefully selected beneficial gut bacteria / probiotics that offer some great health benefits.
Each sachet Contains:
Probiotic blend @ 3 billion CFUs
inulin and oligofructose
Directions:
Consumed every day. 1/4 to 1/2 cup.
BF+ comes in an easy to use sachet mix that is added to hummus, milk, or non-dairy milk to produce a great tasting end product, either a fermented dairy free Hummus or Milk Yogurt.
Both products when prepared as directed produce high levels of probiotics, much higher than could be achieved from taking probiotic capsules.
There are many probiotics and probiotic blends available in the market today and for good reason. Probiotics are live microorganisms that have health benefits when consumed.
Probiotics — which are usually beneficial bacteria — provide large array of benefits for your body and brain. They may improve digestive health, reduce depression, and promote heart health depending on the probiotic.
BF+ is different from other probiotics as it focuses on the healthy production of Butyrate internally and has many health benefits not found in any other probiotic formulations.
We all know how important it is to ensure we have a balanced microbiota.
Everyday stresses can impact your health and wellness.
Many external factors can influence our microbiome diversity. Antibiotics are known to reduce the reproduction of harmful bacteria, but also deplete populations of healthy gut bacteria in the process. Stress can also change the makeup of the microbiome, lowering numbers of potentially beneficial Lactobacillus bacteria.
A diet high in fibre is great for your gut health as it is fuel for the bacteria of the gut, so a diet low in fibre and high in processed foods can be detrimental to microbiome health. Travel , Illness, and age all contribute to poor gut health.
Let’s talk Butyrate:
Among the short chain fatty acids, butyrate may be the most beneficial for health.
Butyrate, produced by healthy gut bacteria, reduces inflammation, protects the brain, and may help prevent obesity and cancer.
While supplementation with butyrate directly is possible, it is more efficient to boost levels naturally by consuming BF+.
BF+ produces a constant supply of Butyrate naturally in your gut for a whole range of health benefits.
Butyrate production is important for a healthy body and gut.
Butyrate has the following advantages:
Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid produced by healthy microbiome.
Made by bacterial fermentation of undigested dietary fibre.
Helps prevent inflammation of the gut.
Contributes in preventing colorectal cancer.
Supports villi growth and mucin production.
Important source of fuel for cells of the gut lining.
Butyrate drastically reduced the activity of interleukin-12 (IL-12), an inflammatory cytokine.
Butyrate increases interleukin-10 (IL-10), which is generally anti-inflammatory.
Butyrate decreased blood haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c, a measure of long-term blood sugar)
Butyrate reduced autistic behaviour in mice. Another study showed sodium butyrate helped autistic mice to recognize objects better.
According to animal studies, butyrate may potentially protect nerves and brain cells from degenerative disease.
In a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease, the most common neurodegenerative condition, butyrate improved memory function through inhibition of histone deacetylase (HDAC. butyrate prevented mice from developing non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), an inflammatory disease caused by fat building up in the liver.
Butyrate also blocked inflammation and protected the pancreas from inflammation in mice
Butyrate can decrease the expression of genes that make cholesterol, possibly reducing cholesterol production
Butyrate prevented hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) by inhibiting inflammation
Butyrate can switch on a haemoglobin gene that generates red blood cells. Thus, butyrate may prevent or manage some forms of anaemia.
Butyrate is toxic to certain harmful species of bacteria. Cell studies revealed that butyric acid can directly kill or inhibit the common foodborne pathogen Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens, which causes gangrene.
Unfortunately for many, natural Butyrate production does not happen at an effective level.
Butyrate production in the gut is negatively affected by high-protein, high-fat, low-carb diets.
Butyrate Ferment plus is Vegan and gluten-free product.
Butyrate Ferment Plus has the following benefits

Enhancing the digestibility of plant proteins
Decrease abdominal pain and bloating
Improve stooling habits and patterns
Enhancing cellular responses to simulated viral challenges
Helping modulate immune responses
Reduces joint pain from osteoarthritis and reduces inflammatory markers in the bloodstream
Reduces insulin resistance, blood sugar, triglycerides, and blood pressure
Substantially reduces muscle injury during training
Recovery after strenuous physical exercise is greatly accelerated
Promotes the growth of other beneficial bacteria in the gut
IBD + CD
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), are characterized by a chronic, relapsing intestinal inflammation.
Butyrate is important to maintain gastrointestinal health and has therapeutic potential in IBD, because it serves as the main energy source for colonocytes, enhances epithelial barrier integrity and inhibits inflammation. Human studies have been performed in UC patients to assess the therapeutic effect of administration of pure butyrate by means of butyrate-containing tablets or enemas. However, these trials were not always successful due to delivery problems, short and discontinuous exposure of butyrate and poor compliance of the patients to the treatment. An alternative and better approach is the consumption of butyrate-producing bacteria to increase the in situ butyrate production. Therefore, targeting microbial dysbiosis by supplementing butyrate-producing bacteria could restore gut homeostasis and health in IBD.
Supplementing with BF+ has been shown to exert substantial beneficial effects.
Reduces symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome–therefore suggesting that it may reduce the species of SIBO.
Each sachet Contains:
Probiotic blend @ 3 billion CFUs
inulin and oligofructose
Directions / How To Make:
Hummus Ferment
Add 1 packet of BF+ to your chosen amount of store purchased or homemade Hummus.
Add same amount of warm water to the Hummus and mix well.
This will be runny but will thicken up during fermentation.
Ferment in a yogurt maker 40oC to 50oC , or 104 to 122 degrees F for 24-36 hours.
Stir well and keep in the refrigerator and consume within 10 to 14 days.
Milk Ferment
Using 1 litre of either full fat dairy milk or Non-dairy milk (has been tested with cow and soy milk)
Mix the full packet of BF+ to a small amount of milk to form a paste.
Then add to rest of milk mixing well with a whisk.
Ferment in a yogurt maker 40oC to 50oC , or 104 to 122 degrees F for 24-36 hours.
Stir well and keep in the refrigerator and consume within 10 to 14 days.
*For a thicker dairy yogurt, milk should be brought up to the boil (when milk starts to boil and rises up around the edges of the Pot, remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature or slightly warmer before following milk ferment instructions above.)
Fermentation cannot be done at temperatures less than 30oC
For maximum benefits it is recommended that the fermented milk "yogurt" be consumed every day. 1/4 to 1/2 cup, while the Hummus should also be consumed daily.
Butyrate Ferment Plus can be added to smoothies.
